My name is Grace, and I am from the beautiful country of the Philippines. I am excited to share my love for teaching. I’m a cheerful person who loves singing, reading, watching documentaries, and most of all, learning about different cultures. I graduated with an associate degree in computer secretarial. Although I am not an education graduate, I am happy to share that I have almost seven years of experience as a volunteer teacher in a religious organization. During those years of teaching, I learned a very valuable lesson — to love those you teach diligently, because by doing so, you will discover that each learner has unique learning skills. I have been working as a part-time ESL teacher for over two years, teaching Chinese and Japanese students, both children and adults. I also worked for almost nine years in Dubai, UAE, where I had the opportunity to interact with people from different cultures and nationalities. Living there helped me greatly improve my English and communication skills. I’m truly glad and excited to help my future students learn and enjoy English as their second language.

In my lessons, I always create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves in English. I believe that learning becomes more effective when students are relaxed and engaged. My teaching style is student-centered, focusing on the learner’s needs, level, and interests. I use interactive activities, such as role-playing, picture discussions, and games, to help students practice speaking and improve their confidence. For young learners, I make lessons fun and engaging by incorporating songs, stories, and visual aids to capture their attention and make learning a more enjoyable experience. For adult learners, I emphasize conversation practice, pronunciation, and real-life communication skills to help them effectively use English in daily situations or at work. Most importantly, I always teach with patience, encouragement, and love, because I believe every student learns in their own unique way.
